So there are a gazillion Christians and Muslims (not getting into all the other religions that exist) throughout the continent, but every now and then, I'm reminded of just how many Jews also call some part of the continent home and how much they too have had to go through the wringer because of their religion. Here, famous Jewish photographer Ruth Gruber captures Ethiopian Jews both still in Ethiopia as well as those that made it to Israel during the big exodus in the 1980s.
