

Seven years ago, I moved to Kenya. At the time, I didn't know anything about the
kikoy even though it was ALL around me. Months after my arrival, I still didn't pay too much attention given that my focus was on doing "silly" things like getting a job! One year later, having more than a dollar to my name, I boarded a NYC bound flight with two
kikoys, one for myself and one as a present for my mom. Over the years, my
kikoy has accompanied me to many beaches, gotten burned, even now has a small hole in it and sadly I must admit that it's time for a new one....
