Art Scene: Rosemary Karuga

I've had Kenyan artist Rosemary Karuga on my mind for a few days now so I'm really glad that Thursday has finally rolled around for me to share her with you! Whenever I think of collages, I think back to my early years in art classes and mine were definitely now gallery worthy like these!

These are so intricate and stunning that it's often difficult to believe this is actually paper!! I would love to get up close and see some of the clippings that she uses! You can find more about Karuga's work at Contemporary African Art Gallery.
