I saw these amazing watercolor paintings at Heart of Afrika Designs a few days ago and I haven't been able to get them out of my mind. There is no line at all between what is Brazilian and what is African through these paintings. They remind me of how much I would love to visit this region of Brazil just to get a small taste of how deeply African roots are buried across the world.
