Sounds of Africa: Thomas Mapfumo

Is there a better way to end the week other listening to yet another great musician coming out of Africa?!? I think not! This week we're listening to Thomas Mapfumo from Zimbabwe. This musician has been in the business forever, using his voice to sing out against the government of Mugabe. He has created Chimurenga (Shona language for 'struggle') music which is unknown to most Zimbabweans and as you can hear, his music just reaches straight to your bones! So beautiful!
