There are many times (a day) that I fantasize about visiting South Africa, but this weekend definitely was the peak of that daydreaming because the Design Indaba Expo took place over the weekend. Imagine a place were a gazillion South African creatives are all together showcasing the amazing talent coming out of this country! It truly must be a tsunami of inspiration and overall good vibes!
As the committee considers the next steps for the expo, one of the things I hope they consider is expanding it to other creatives talents from throughout the continent. There is so much talent, it would be great for the expo to create a space where Africans can connect not only with international artists and buyers from Asia, Europe, etc., but also with other Africans from throughout the continent.
