Through the Lens: Zwelethu Mthethwa

Durban-born South African photographer Zwelethu Mthethwa is one of the contemporary photographers from the continent whose work provides such a unique insight. His worker series - sugar cane and coal workers above - features these workers in their environment while his another series (below) provides us a glimpse into the homes and lives of those living in shanty towns on the outskirts of the city. Whatever series he produces, one thing that can be promised is that it will be great!
