Washington, DC via Silver Spring! Yes, it seems my wandering of the northeast continues. I am visiting a friend of mine here and having a great time. It's been interesting because I've generally hung out with this friend mostly in Kenya even though we went to graduate school together here in DC.

I'm not on my own MacBook :( and this version of explorer is basically ancient and won't allow me to upload any images or videos, set links, change fonts, etc.

But until I am back into full access mode, I do hope you can check out Orchestra Baobab. This is a Senegalese group that started out in the 1970s, broke up, and the got back together. The music is very Cuban but with a lot of West African influences.
