Hi All!
Wow! I can't believe how difficult it has been to update this blog recently. My hours at work have literally turned psycho and by the time I get home, looking at the computer screen is literally the LAST thing I want to do.
Anyway, last year when I started this blog, I was living alone in the bushes of Sudan with zero outlet for anything even remotely creative and working on this blog was a excellent outlet for me. I got to sit in a room and tell stories of all the adventures I was experiencing at the time. To my own surprise, I was able to keep up with this blog (obviously not the past week or two) even after I returned to the States.
However, as I get more and more involved in my current life in the land of the free and home of the brave, I grow further and further away from the life I was living last year in Africa. My interests, while remaining very focused on all things from the Continent, have expanded to include so many other things which I don't feel are quite adequate to share on a blog that is only ideally suppose to be focused on Africa.
Anyway...the short end of it is that I'm considering starting another blog in addition to creating an extra hour in the day to dedicate to update said new blog. There are many features from this blog that I will be carrying forward, especially the highlights on things happening in Africa, but I really would like a space where I can also express my love of designs, books, music, and stories coming from other parts of the world and also share a bit more about the great experience I'm having in D.C. so far.
So, I'd love to hear your suggestions on what features you would like to continue reading on a new and improved blog by yours truly!
I can't wait to read your feedback!!

Hi! I just recently discovered your blog and I love it the way it is. I know it is named Out and About Africa and I absolutely love the information about African and African-inspired fashion, music, designers, and style. However, I would also love to see info about your experiences in and around DC, as I am also a Liberian with similar interests, residing in DC.
You and I have talked about this several times and I know you have a hard time reconciling the name of the blog with the fact that you are now in DC but I do think that it all still works and that while you blog on other interests like design and your work in DC, these things are rooted to an interest and personal connection to Africa and international development. I love the site as it is.
Hi! I found your blog via Ali's and have been reading silently for awhile. I love your writing, your perspective and your taste. Whatever you decide to do with the blog(s), just please don't decide to quit altogether. You have a great knack for bringing us readers cool things just under the radar we wouldn't have know about otherwise, so your insights about DC would be very interesting as well.
