I am so loving Ivorian singer Dobet Gnahoré these days. I don't understand a lick of what she is singing, but just the sound of her voice transcends the need for translation, you intuitively know she is singing the truth!! I can't get enough of this particular song:Palea

Hey, I follow your blog thanks to KJ and it's awesome! I just wanted to make sure you knew that Dobet Gnahore is performing with Habib Koite at GW's Lisner Auditorium on Thurs night, 4/16. I saw her once in Ghana and it was the best show I've ever seen - she's incredible. I hope you get to see her!
