Through the Lens: Clinton Friedman

While South African Clinton Friedman's work spans from commercial, portrait, beauty, food, and editorial, his botanical photography is what has made his name stand out among the crowd. Friedman was inspired while visiting a traditional medicine market in KwaZule Natal and his intense photographic study of these plants has led to a book - Subtraction. When I first saw his work a few months back (only the big G knows where I first saw his work on this world wide web), I was stunned by how captivating they were. Since then, my love for these prints has only grown. It is a constant reminded of how stunning photography can be.

If you think these are impressive, you totally have to check out his website which has even more amazing plant shots and also allows you to view some of his other works. And if just seeing isn't your thing, you can also purchase prints from his website!

Stay tuned for a few of of my favorite shots from yours truly coming up later this morning.
