Let's Talk: Fikru G/Mariam

I have been loving the work of Ethiopian artist Fikru G/Mariam since I first saw his work via Love + Dreams. His earlier works which included almost mask-like faces of Ethiopian women are really appealing. His more recent pieces (images 1, 3, and 5), which he was gracious enough to send me to share with you all today, are an explosion of color which I could spend hours studying! Needless to say, I was very excited when he agreed to this little interview. Without more delay.....
