First Print

Good Morning!

It's wonderful to start the week on a Tuesday! How was your (long) weekend? I needed to do a whole lot of rest and relaxation so I stayed home this weekend and got to see the fireworks right here in the nation's capitol. Unlike last year where I was front and center on the National Mall, this time I went to Meridian Hill Park and saw the show while overlooking the city. Needless to say it was a good time!

Anyway, one of the highlights of the long weekend was heading back to the classroom! Yup - I'm now taking a silk screening class which is really awesome. In just two classes, I've gained a whole new level of appreciation for hand made cards, posters, shirts, and especially wallpaper. Above is my very first (of what I hope to be many many more) prints! This is one of the bad prints as the rest are still in the studio where they will have other layers put on, but I wanted to give you a glimpse of one of my favorite new things to do!
