One of the things I love most about photography is that each photographer brings such a unique perspective to each subject they shoot. In his En Route to Dakar series, Mimi Mollica has managed to capture urban Dakar in a way that is very crisp, quiet and in contrast to the bustling, colorful place that I imagine it to be. Looking at life along a new highway that will better link the city to the rest of the country, Mollica gives us a wonderful glimpse into how a city adapts to and around new infrastructure.
