Last fall I told you about the Friends of Anton site which was a collection of fabulous photographs by famous photojournalists aimed at raising money to support the family of South African photographer Anton Hammerl who was killed in Libya. Fast forward to May and the team behind the site has totally raised their game with photos being auctioned at Christie's.
The images for sale all seem stunning with varying prices going anywhere from $500 to more than $10,000! The first three are some favorites from Africa including a bride and groom in Uganda, the South Sudanese marching band and one of the wives of Joseph Kony.
These last two may not be taken in Africa, but remain among my favorites. You can see more images, purchase a print or just donate to the cause at Friends of Anton.
